Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited as the pioneer of modern studies of the memory of witnesses and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous publications and many awards to her credit, is also the recipient of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has provided consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a part of a variety of professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
